Alex Ovechkin has recently suffered an upper-body injury.  The Capitals said Monday that the two-time league MVP suffered an “upper-body strain” in Sunday’s overtime loss to Columbus.  Recently, Ovechkin had an MRI and will travel with the team while receiving treatment.  As a result of the injury he missed four games.  We hope for a fast and speedy recovery for Ovechkin.

Jeremy Roenick who is a center for the San Jose Sharks has announced his retirement.  Jeremy Roenick is a twenty year veteran in the National Hockey League.  This announcement comes after his worst season in his career.

Jeremy Roenick who is 39 years old is a two time Olympian.  He has 513 goals and 703 assists in 1,363 career regular-season games for the Chicago Blackhawks, Phoenix Coyotes, Philadelphia Flyers, Los Angeles Kings and San Jose.  We wish Jeremy Roenick luck with all his future endeavors.
