Mike Scarry spent 16 seasons on the Dolphins' coaching staff, from 1970-85, and handled the team's defensive line during his tenure. He came to Miami after serving as a scout with the San Francisco 49ers in 1969. He also coached with the Washington Redskins from 1966-68, his first three years as a pro coach.

Keane was an original member of the Miami Dolphins coach staff, having joined the team in 1966. He remained with the Dolphins through 1985. During his time in Miami, he also handled the Dolphins' special teams.

Carl Taseff coached the Dolphins' running backs for 24 seasons, from 1970-93. He joined the Dolphins after a two-year stint in which he worked for the CEPO scouting combine. Before that, he was an assistant with the Boston Patriots of the AFL (1964) and the Detroit Lions of the NFL (1965-66).
