Jimmie Foxx, Al Simmons, George Earnshaw Autographed / Signed Baseball (PSA/DNA)

A fearsome power hitter whose strength earned him the moniker "The Beast," Jimmie Foxx was the anchor of an intimidating Philadelphia Athletics lineup that produced pennant winners from 1929 to 1931. The second batter in history to top 500 home runs, Foxx belted 30 or more homers in 12 consecutive seasons and drove in more than 100 runs 13 consecutive years, including a career-best 175 with Boston in 1938. He won back-to-back MVP awards in 1932 and '33, capturing the Triple Crown the latter year.

Called "Bucketfoot Al" because of an unusual batting style in which he stepped toward the dugout, Al Simmons confounded the purists to the tune of 307 home runs and a .334 average. The Philadelphia Athletics' outfielder compiled more hits than any right-handed batter in American League history until surpassed by Al Kaline. A deadly clutch-hitter and favorite of Connie Mack, Simmons won batting titles in 1930 and '31 to help the A's to consecutive pennants. He recorded 11 consecutive seasons as a .300 hitter and 100-RBI man.

Moose, a genial 6'4" 210-lb righthander from Swarthmore College, teamed with Lefty Grove on the Philadelphia A's to form the game's premier pitching duo for the years 1929-31 (79 wins by Grove, 67 by Earnshaw). He won a league-high 24 in 1929, but twice led the league in walks. A basic fastball and curveball pitcher, Earnshaw said, "I didn't fool around with those junk pitches." He won a Bronze Star as a WWII naval officer, then scouted and coached for the Phillies.
